If Persephone called him a baby right at that moment, he probably would have agreed and fell into a pathetic heap, but any other time he would have stuck out his chest proudly and done something manly (he didn’t know, run a race or something) to show her that he wasn’t. So when Persephone told him he couldn’t die he frowned, “Yeah I know but Hades could just torture me for an eternity and I don’t know, make me your dog’s eternal chew toy, that would be fun.” He said slightly sarcastically and when she placed her hand on his and well… he saw her breasts. Oh glories of glories he saw those lovely breasts of hers and he completely had to jump away from her, fall on his ass to keep from getting aroused because he already was as it happened and he was doing his best to NOT let it show. He was wearing pants for crying out loud. Of all the times he had decided to wear pants and not a robe or something like it!
Bad thoughts OUT bad thoughts OUT bad thoughts OUT! He thought repeatedly rubbing his eyes over and over again to try to burn the memory out but the more he tried the more it stuck because he had seen Persephone’s heavenly breasts and now he was panting slightly and grinding his teeth thinking about something disgusting… like uhm… like uhm… Persephone’s breasts. THOSE WEREN’T DISGUSTING. He just continually shook his head over and over again when she asked him if she could do anything to make him feel better. That’s exactly what she could do. NOTHING to make him feel better just… not move and not talk. Nothing.
He wasn’t paying attention when he sang. He was pouring his heart and soul into one bloody song just for her and then he noticed she was crying and he instantly scrambled to his feet to try to get to her, thinking he had harmed her in some way. She couldn’t possibly realize the song was about her did she? He didn’t think it was possible and so he ran to her side, only falling and tripping straight into her lap though he quickly pulled away from her so that they were at least a decent amount apart. “I’m sorry I’m sorry!” He said quickly wringing his hat slightly in his hands as he put his lyre down. Geez he as such a klutz sometimes! “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize… I mean the song… it isn’t… well Mary isn’t a REAL girl though if I did fall for someone it would be someone who loved sheep and goats…” he said though he realized that he and Persephone had just talked about that and quickly added, “You know a shepherdess!” He blurted out.
“Ah look at me, I’m perfectly fine!” He said puffing his chest out despite the fact that he wasn’t indeed perfectly fine. He cupped her face in his hands as he wiped her tears and smiled at her as he started to get up and offered her his hand. “There we go, no worries, I won’t sing any sad songs anymore, do you want me to sing something happier?” Oh he was so not in a happy mood but for Persephone he would have gladly sang RAP if that was what she wanted. Do you sing rap? He wasn’t sure. “Anyways, no worries, right? Tch, look at me Persephone, god of mischief, I’ve never fallen in love, never have and never will.” He said quite proudly, defiantly even and he hoped with all hope that that would stay true because it certainly would help right about now.
“Those just make the best songs, you gotta understand, the most pure feelings, the… the truest uh… feelings are the ones that make the best songs.” He said with a nod, “And what truer feeling is there than love?” He really hoped she didn’t catch where he had slipped. He had said he had never fallen in love, so how could he ever know the true feeling of love? He closed one eye a little. This wasn’t going ot be good at all and so he pulled her into a firm hug before pulling away to look at her in the eye, cupping her face in his hands as he pushed some of her hair away. “So don’t cry, alright? I can’t stand it when you cry… I just want to make you laugh, that’s all. Make everything… better.”
He stared at those plump lips of hers. Their lips were so close but he would never, ever meet the other half way unless he knew she wanted to and he knew she didn’t want to so he never did, but SO CLOSE… and yet… damn, too far.

Any job worth doing was worth doing well. Which was exactly why Hades was just about done checking up on the Underworld for the second time that day. Not the whole part, just Tatarus. He more evil natures often drove him to visit there and watch those miserable souls suffer. And of course, there was Pirithous. Not actually a dead soul, but he may as well have been. So long as he sat on that chair he'd be exactly like he was when he first came. Skin attached to the damn thing so that he could never leave, constantly tortured and a chew toy for Cerberus. Add to that the fact that he couldn't remember a single thing, making each experience a new one made him probably one of the worst victims there. But he had certainly committed a crime worthy of it.
He had all but demanded to marry Persephone regardless of the fact that she was taken.
So, all in all, he was feeling pretty amused. And the only thing that could such a thing better was his wife. And he definitely had his ideas on how she could make it better. There was a smile on his face as he unbuttoned the vest he wore, because he did like to look nice. Not just because he was a god with his own domain, but also because he a complete and total pansy for his wife. Keeping in mind that a pansy was a nice hardy flower that many women adored. Never the less, he was whipped and would do just about anything for her or to keep her at his side as Pirithous proved. After all, few goddesses could find devotion like that from another god. But she was devoted to him.
Or at least that's what he thought before he stumbled across scene of her and Hermes. Frankly it was cute. A nice guy trying to comfort a crying girl. Movies lived for moments like this and he hoped that Hermes was satisfied with it because it would certainly be the last moment he ever lived to see. Narrowing his eyes at them both, he scowled. A more rational side of his brain kept saying that Persephone would never cheat on him while another side seemed to get it's point across with one word. Adonis. That annoying little prat of a mortal. It was rather mean that he was happy that the poor boy had been gored to death by Ares, wasn't it?
Never the less, he took a deep breath before walking up to the two, forcing up a fake smile to keep them from getting suspicious. He wouldn't just act without thought. He would at least try to figure out what was going on. "Hermes. What a surprise." He said as he sat down next to his wife, his arm instantly wrapping around her waist. Looking to her, he frowned once more, but this time out of concern. His other hand clench and unclenched quickly before he placed it on her leg. "Persephone, is something wrong?" He asked. Somehow he managed to control he urge to give Hermes a dirty look because he was certain that it had something to do with the other God.
Not that he didn't love his nephew, he did. Aside from the fact that it was Hermes who brought Persephone back to Demeter and that he was always there. Truly, the other had some really good redeeming qualities. But if he had hurt Persephone in even the slightest way, he would kill him.

"I could never let that happen," she shook her head. Persephone would never let that happen especially to Hermes. Hermes was his friend. "I would never let that happen." She'd have to hate her husband forever if he hurt someone she cared about. He jumped back from her as though she was made of fire and she stood up quickly as she tilted her chin up to look up at him. The tiny goddess didn't realize that he was having a ton of internal conflicts going on.
If she had she would have let him be.
Persephone hadn't meant to cry it was just hard for her to. The young woman tilted her chin up to watch him and she let out a tiny squeal when he fell into her lap her hands shot up and her palms clenched as she watched him scramble backwards once more. Wide eyed her lips parted some more and she tilted her chin up to look up at him.
Eyebrows knit together as she shook her head and she rubbed her eyes once more. "But that's why it's so sad," she whimpered into him as she leaned into his hands. He wiped away at her tears and she shook her head some more. "That's why it's so sad." Her heart hurt. The brunette brushed back at her hair and she shook her head. "I'm sorry it's just unrequited love..." Persephone sniffed and the back of her hand was near her nose as her shoulders heaved up.
"Oh, Hermes," she breathed as she tilted her chin up to him. "You did love someone didn't you?" His voice was pained like hers was when she told stories to Hades. She was brought into a hug and she hugged him back in a melanchaly manner. Her eyes shut and her eyelashes were drenched with tears. Some tears got on her hair and he brushed it back. he was gentle too. It made her think of...
"Tha-that's why I was crying," Persephone explained to him. "That's why I was crying, Hermes. I heard your heart." She smiled up at him. How could she smile? "And it was beautiful. Orpheus couldn't have moved me as much. I was moved, Hermes." Persephone was a girl and girls cried. Girls cried when they were happy. Girls cried when they were angry. Girls cried when they were sad.
Rubbing her eyes she rid herself of tears. No more crying. "I'm sorry," she backed down. "You didn't make me upset. I was just..." Swept away. "You're a great musician." She shook her head and held onto dark hair. "That's what makes me smile." She took hold of her first rescuer and she planted a chast kiss on his palm the hand that wiped away tears.
That was when she heard a voice. Lighitng up immediately. Hades. She practicallly pushed Hermes out of her way. Persephone looked up at him with tear stained cheeks and he put his arm poessessively around her she snuggled into her lover.
Were they the only faithful couples?
Persephone nodded, "Yes there is something wrong." She was being absolutely truthful. "Hermes songs are too beautiful." That was what was wrong in her eyes. His songs were beautiful. the young woman looekd up at her husband her eyebrow sknit together as she snuggled into him happily.
"I'm sorry, they just moved me so much," she laughed at her foolishness. She had probably scared Hades. She suggled into him and clutched onto his vest as she pulled her legs beneath her all but climbing into his lap.
"He didn't hurt me, Hades," she shook her head. "I just...I dont' remember the last time a song moved me." She snuggled into the crook of his neck. Wet eyelashes fluttered against his Adam's apple. "I promise." She didn't cheat on him either. A kiss for her half brother was perfectly fine.
She kissed her Hades chin as she backed down she teased him with an audible smacking noise.

“Thank you, that’s…er, comforting,” Hermes said rubbing the back of his head awkwardly as he didn’t really feel that safe at all with Persephone saying she would protect him, but what the hell, literally. However he only started to squirm nervously the more that she continued to explain that it was so sad and he was trying to figure out a way to explain to her that no, it really wasn’t sad it was perfectly HAPPY and PEACHY KEEN and he was ECSTATIC LIKE A GUM DROP. Because seriously he was still smiling like an idiot but more or less thought that his face was going to break. “It’s not sad,” Hermes tried to explain though his voice was starting to stress as he rubbed his forehead in frustration. UNDERSTAND HIS LIE DAMMIT! Just believe it! “It’s not unrequited love, there isn’t unrequited love with people that don’t exist!” He realized that he started to raise his voice but only because he was running out on his last rope trying to figure out how to tell this to her…without telling her.
However when she asked him if he loved someone his face flushed, “N-No of course n-not! I already explain this you, I n-never loved anyone I n-never will.” He said adamantly, though he didn’t sound that convincing especially since he was stuttering. He needed to stop stuttering but holding onto Persephone only made it harder. Damn it if Persephone didn’t stop crying he was going to start bawling like a baby. “M-Mary doesn’t exist she’s f-fake I just sing songs about w-whatever,” He said shoving his hands in his pockets as he pulled away and he shook his head when she told him she heard his heart. “You didn’t hear a thing!” He said with a slight pout but when she mentioned that his song was beautiful he smiled, “…Thank you. I’m glad, I’ll try to make more songs for you… but happier ones, alright? That way you don’t cry.” He said brushing off the last of her tears with his thumb as he kissed her on the forehead in a sibling manner.
“Thank you, that means a lot to me,” He said towards her comment that he was a great musician. “Apollo gets too much recognition for it, especially when I was the one who made the lyre… and everybody calls it HIS instrument,” He said bitterly with a roll of his eyes. He couldn’t believe he had traded the lyre for some cows, though… those cows had been awesome cows. When she planted a kiss on his palm he felt a shudder explode up his spine and he had to pull away, but he didn’t get a chance to because Persephone PUSHED him away when Hades came and at first Hermes didn’t realize what was going on… and then he did and his heart practically exploded in his chest and he jumped away from Persephone as if she was diseased and manged and she was the most disgusting thing on the planet.
Oh yes Persephone. Snuggle with Hades. Rip out of his heart. His eye twitched slightly as he tried to figure out something to say but he just kept on smiling. That was the one thing that he was good, just keeping on smiling regardless of what the situation was. “Hellooooo Hades!” Hermes said with fake enthusiasm as he waved, keeping a very safe distance from Persephone with his mouth slightly slack. “N-No nothing is wrong I swear I didn’t do anything I swear!” He said grabbing his hat and wringing it in his hands as he looked behind him and started inching slowly towards the exit. “So yes, I was just keeping her company before you came but now that YOU are here,” He said laughing for absolutely no reason, “I’m just going to leave okay?!” He said starting to move slowly towards the exit as if trying to not grab attention towards himself.
He let out a sigh of relief when Persephone explain to him that the song had simply moved her and he tried not to stare when she kissed Hades and started to smack her lips and he swallowed hard. He laughed awkwardly enough, just standing there and shifting his weight and trying to figure out what to do as he started to play something quick on his lyre, singing more or less to himself. “See uh… uncle, I make some nice songs. Wanna here? Of course you do maybe it’ll make you cry…” He said muttering out the first song that came to his head. Something stupid that would make him seem harmless. It was something that he always did to make people not mad at him but as far as he was sure, Hades wasn’t mad…right?
“I feel pretty, Oh so pretty I feel pretty and witty and gay And I pity Any girl who isn't me today I feel charming, Oh so charming It's alarming how charming I feel And so pretty That I hardly can believe I'm real See the pretty girl in that mirror there? Who can that attractive girl be? Such a pretty face Such a pretty dress Such a pretty smile Such a pretty me! I feel stunning And entrancing Feel like running And dancing for joy For I'm loved By a pretty and wonderful boy!”
He stopped, his eye slightly twitching. Okay. Maybe a wrong choice of song but he was sure it would have distracted Hades and he was slowly walking towards the exit as he sang. He was almost sure he could make it out with a just “GOOD BYE” and run towards the exit. Yes. Perfect plan. Ready. Set.
“OKAY BYE HADES BYE PERSEPHONE!” He said making a mad scramble towards the exit. As long as Persephone or Hades didn’t call him back he was going to be fine. Fine. Safe. With his head. Alive. EVERYBODY RUN.

Listening to her explanation, he looked at Hermes with a frown. Certainly the proof was all there, but he still didn't feel right. Perhaps he was just paranoid. After all, there was no one he could trust more than his own wife, who would never cheat on him .And Hermes was...Hermes and there definitely wasn't a threat there. Unlike the rest of Zeus' kids, Hermes seemed to lack some of Zeus' traits, which was a good thing.
"I suppose everything is fine so long as you're alright." He muttered softly. It was entirely believable since Persephone was an odd girl. She had cried when Orpheus sang, though that had been a rather touching song. So it was all a matter of getting himself to stop thinking of Hermes as anything more than Persephone's friend. Who just happened to be a god. And the son of Zeus. Hades couldn't do it. But he could at least try to relax a little bit. Sort of.
And it was quite easy to do such a thing when she was being quite so affectionate. Cupping her cheek, he smiled before kissing her, just barely brushing his tongue against her lips regardless of the fact that Hermes was there. It was done to show that he loved her as it was to prove that she was his. A chauvinistic, possessive way to think of his wife, but she was and they both knew that. And he was hers as well, which evened things out nicely.
Hades laughed at the foolish little song. It was so shallow and narcissistic and it had such a sickeningly upbeat tune to it. It had nearly distract him from the fact that Hermes was backing away toward the exit.
"Hermes wait!" He bellowed, for there really wasn't a better word for such a thing. "Certainly, you could spend a little more time with us?" Hades questioned, trying to sound a bit more sweet while he ran his hand along Persephone's leg. He didn't want to see his nephew leave so soon. He felt like talking with the younger god and he couldn't do that when the fool was trying to skip off with hardly a word. It was a terribly rude thing to do.

When he defended the fact that she heard nothing and that he never felt that way about him she simply nodded.
Liar. He was a liar. She could see right through him because she heard his heart. She heard his words. He touched her, that song touched her. Only one who had experienced such feelings of longing could sing such a song. She tried her best not to fight with him about it.
"Never ever?" she asked softly of him. Never ever? How sad. The young goddess wanted to tell him that was heart breaking that he should fall in love. That it was so depressing that he would never feel that way. "Apollo," she laughed softly. Oh, Apollo...Persephone shook her head, "I don't think he's as good as you."
If Persephone only knew the pain she was causing her half brother. If she had known she would have immediately stopped. She didn't want to hurt anybody. The only ones that she had ever really wanted to hurt would be a certain nymph, ha, she loved eating mint.
The goddess shook her head. Persephone understood that he would worry over her. She knew that she could be an easy target. She was naive, easily tricked, and easily subdued because she was such a smal thing. "Hades, I'm all right," the goddess chirped.
He worried about her too much. Eyes closed she snuggled into him and she glanced up at him as she leaned into his chest. Warm. So warm he was her big teddy bear. Poor Hades, he was simply a tool for Persephone to throw all amorous intentions upon.
As soon as his lips reached her she tried her best not to moan into him because she often did when she was kissed by him. Hermes was there watching them. His lips were so sweet. He was so gentle. Hades was so. "Mmm," she had no self control! None whatsoever. She was immediately turned into a mass of emotions whenever around him. It was a good thing he kept her in line. That she knew her place and where she belonged.
Upon hearing that he'd sing another song she lit up as she hung on Hades. However, he started singing another song and at first she was confused. That wasn't at all like the song he had sung before. This one wasn't as moving and she tilted her chin up at Hermes a little confused at the moment her eyebrows knit together.
"Oh, uh, Hermes..." She reached out and then her husband spoke up. His hand was on her leg and she giggled softly. Attempting to do her best not to rip his clothes off him and possess him there.
Silly girl.

“Uhm… never ever?” Hermes said though he was obviously unsure and he almost sounded like he was confused himself as to whether or not he had been in love. Hell, he had! Hermes was the kind of person that when he did fall in love, he fell in love hard and easy like it was the most natural thing in the world. It didn’t happen very often and he rarely did fall slave to lust, which made this even worse than ever! However when he heard her compliment towards him on Apollo (who he considered his damned rival if he ever had one) he smiled, a broad one, holding his lyre to his chest and plucking a few strings. “…T-Thank you,” He said in a slight stammer trying not to turn red because well, that was one of the best compliments he could have gotten. Apollo was the god of music but they both shared poetry and well… WHY THE HELL WAS HE GOT THE GOD OF MUSIC? Hermes HAD made his instrument for crying out loud. Tch. Just didn’t make sense. The man was (however his best friend) but also very… egocentric…a narcissist (no pun intended) but SERIOUSLY!
However he also had a scrunched up, confusing expression after he had gotten over the fact that Persephone (THE Persephone) had called his music better than Apollo because… why couldn’t she stop complimenting him!? It was driving him insane! He thought he was going to vomit. He had seen Hades’ tongue practically slipping into her mouth and well, Persephone making those noises and he felt like his brain was going to explode, so he was so glad when Hades hadn’t noticed he was leaving and he was just at the exit but when he heard Hades’ call his name he tripped and fell flat on his face. DAMN IT. SO… SO CLOSE! If he had only gotten out of the gates he could have just kept on running and said he hadn’t heard the man at all… but uh, he doubted that was going to work and so he sort of got back up, dusted himself off and by the time he turned around he had that Hermes-ish smile, award winning, charming and also very juvenile and innocent.
“Why of course I could. I only stayed to keep poor Persephone company, so when you came… I didn’t want to stay in your WAY but uh, sure.” He said walking back towards them as he sat a good distance from them but still in an average vicinity and in a crouching position so that he could jump and run if he needed to. Had Hermes been able to read Persephone’s thoughts he probably would have… thrown up. Yes, that was the word. But he looked over at Hades, he was sure if he just didn’t pay attention to Persephone and didn’t look at her that everything would be fine so he… just kept on looking at Hades, in a way that was probably more or less disturbing because he was barely blinking and had that stupid smile on his face. “So… uh… how have you been uncle?” He asked awkwardly as well, he didn’t know WHAT to say. He came by often enough, compared to other gods and he and Hades really did get along well. When Persephone wasn’t in the room.
Somebody help him.

Hades reluctantly nodded. Not that he didn't believe she was fine, but there was that lingering feeling. And perhaps he did worry about her too much. Not as much as Demeter because he wasn't some overprotective psycho, but it that was besides the point. It merely served to proved that he loved her. She was highly important to him and he wanted to be sure she was absolutely fine. So he wrapped his arms around her, an upset pout (for there's just no other word for it) fixed on his face.
It was so hard having a difficult one like the one he currently faced. Far more difficult than any other decision he had ever tried to make. Continue kissing Persephone or be polite and stop? They both had their advantages. Who knew where kissing Persephone could lead to. Well, he did. Quite well actually and it was a nice place for a kiss to lead, but Hermes was there. He was probably uncomfortable and feeling awkward and uncomfortable. But she moaned and he couldn't just ignore that. But with a slight groan, he broke the kiss. Sucking it up, he took a deep breath and smiled. " I love you."
Well wasn't that just a wonderful point. Hades frowned slightly as he thought the comment over. With Hermes there he certainly couldn't be quite so naughty with his wife, but he could always make up for that another time. Proving he wasn't completely anti-social was more important at the moment, anyways. Zeus help him, he was actually interested in having a conversation with someone who didn't often reside in the Underworld. "Thank you. I don't often see you after all." He commented with a smirk.
Glancing at his wife, he smiled at her fondly before looking at Hermes with a rather amused look. "Wonderful. It's winter, I have my wife and I just got done amusing myself with Pirithous." He said calmly. Certainly if he had known about Hermes' feeling, he would have made a stronger point of that. That or invite him to sit down on the chair for a few years or decades. Centuries, maybe? But thankfully for the other god, he only suspected something odd and he wouldn't dream of acting without solid reasoning.

Oh, he was blushing how sweet. Persephone almost wished that he'd scuff his toe, that would be absolutely adorable if he did. Hermes was adorable too he had this cute boy charm to him. Why he wasn't married to anyone was a complete mystery to her because he was such a sweet person. He was such a sweet person and why did no one else see that? No one else saw that but her. Perhaps it was sisterly love? Persephone wasn't too close to most of her half siblings with the exception of Hermes.
She really hadn't meant to moan it was just a normal reaction like someone flinching when something popped up on them. Yay, Hermes came back. She and Hades hardly got company because most people didn't like going down to the Underworld and then watching the two make out basically. It wasn't like Persephone could help it! Hades was a fine piece o flesh!
"That's what I said," a quiet voice piped up. "I told him that he should come more often." Of course, she left out the point of Hermes fear of having Hades hurting him. Hades wasn't the number one guy in the social scene and his social skills were...Lacking to say it politely. He spent how long in the Underworld before she came along. And who was his company before she came around, huh? That was right! She was his world!
"Pirithous?" she asked after a moment as she heard that name. It was one of Hades pasttimes that Persephone didn't quite like. Actually, she hated it! However, it was sweet that he woudl go through such lengths to put the point across that she was his. She'd often ask him, 'Hades isn't that a little cruel?' It was mroe than a little. Persephone rested her head in the crook of his neck. It was cruel. It was very cruel. Her legs curled up and she brought her beneath her as she reached up as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Oh," she gave him a tiny smack on the arm and giggled. Everything was fine because she was with him! That was so adorable. Persephone tried her best to keep most of her hands off him. Naughty thoughts were bad. Naughty thoughts were bad. Naughty thoughts were bad. No attacking her Hades. No. No. No.

Yes. Please stop kissing Persephone because the place that would lead was one where it would be extremely uncomfortable for Hermes and not only that, Hades had called him back, which only made it worse. Hermes was wringing his hat in his hands and sort of stared, at a very obviously interesting mark on his hand because he wouldn’t stop looking at it. Yes. Just keep staring at it that way if anything did happen he wouldn’t have to worry because he would be unable to look at it, unfortunately. Uh… if Hades wanted to do that, Hermes would gladly leave and try not to think about it, after all he had tried to gladly leave about two minutes ago. He laughed uncomfortably at Hades’ ‘thank you’ as if it was indeed, a funny statement when in fact, it wasn’t and sort of shuffled nervously on his knees where he was sitting. “…Er…so… you do that for fun?” Hermes asked a little bit nervously. Okay, that wasn’t comforting at all but he continued to well, try to talk in a civilized manner to Hades however difficult though he couldn’t keep the occasional stammer out of his words. His eye slightly twitched at the words “I love you” but he was doing his best to just not think about it and ignore it for the moment. He let out a cracked smile at Persephone really wanting to leave the more that Persephone was sweet with her Hades. Hermes could easily take either of them alone, but together he practically wanted to vomit and tear his eyes out. “Yes… I certainly will be back… more often… er… whenever you want me to. I can come back and keep you company… uh…” You know, when Persephone isn’t here. That’s what he would have said. After all he had said the same thing to Persephone except “You know, when Hades is busy” but saying the same sort of thing to Hades made him feel like the man was going to murder him or glare holes through him so he just didn’t say anything and sort of stared at his feet for a little bit, then up, then to the right, then to the left. Anywhere that wasn’t in their general direction.
Hermes coughed a little when Persephone smacked his lips against Hades’ arms and shuffled awkwardly. “So uhm… what did you want to er… talk about Hades? Otherwise I should get going. More souls to collect, goats to… see and uh… Apollo or Pan… stuff.” He said rubbing the back of his head as he knew his excuse was horrible and yet at the same time truthful. Normally he would stick by and stay much longer just to bring a little bit of music and perhaps smiles on the two of their faces but right now it just seemed a little bit too awkward for him to handle.

Rolling his eyes, he frowned. " I don't see why he doesn't come more often. Unlike most, he's perfectly welcome." In fact, Hermes just might have been the only god from Olympus who was truly welcome. But that was also because he was really the only one who bothered to come there for anything. Most tried to avoid the wonders of the Underworld for some unknown reason. What wasn't to like about depressing scenery and dead souls wandering about?
He smirked rather evilly as he nodded. It kind of was fun watching the poor soul get tortured, as he would be for the rest of eternity. It gave him something to do when he was bored, despite how demented of a pass time it may have been. "You'd think watching someone for hundreds of year would get boring, but it only seems to get better." He said with a slight shrug. He rubbed his hand along her arm, smiling at her before looking at Hermes. "Besides, it serves him right for waltzing in here thinking he could just take my wife." Pirithous was proof of how much he cared for his wife in a really sick and twisted sort of way.
Hades laughed, playfully rubbing at the spot where he'd been hit. Looking at Hermes, he opened his mouth to argue, but if there were souls to collect, who was he to stop the guy? After all, certain things did hold priorities over others and dead souls were far more important that talking to Hermes. Of curse such a sentiment was meant in the nicest way possible. "I suppose if you really must be off, you can go. I wouldn't want to keep you from something important." Not that anything but the souls seemed even close to being important.

{I feel so dirty when they start talking cute I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is probably mute. <3}
Persephone stopped and realized that in order to keep company she'd have to put her focus upon them. For fun? Yes, he did. "I think it's terrible." She did she thought that it was terrible that he took such pleasure out of it but she understood why he had to do it and why he did. He tried to take her away from him and she knew that he had to make an example of him.
"Hades, you're horrible," Persephone breathed her eyebrows knit together and she shook her head. He was horrid! Why did he find that so amusing? Sighing she rolled her eyes at him in a typical female manner. He was terrible! And he kept doing all sorts of things to seduce her.
Like when he pouted. When he sat there and put people to their eternal doom. The way he moved beneath his clothes. Why couldn't she stop having sex with him? No control! No self control whatsoever. Well, it was that and Hades could just blink and he'd get jumped by the Spring Maiden. Damn him! It was all his fault. It was his fault! His!
"Oh, we hardly get company!"
Well, she understood why they didn't. A} Location. B} They made people uncomfortable. C} Cerberus would drool on people sometimes. It was a little sad. She wished Mama would visit but she understood why she didn't because she hated her husband.
He had to leave? Pouting her eyebrows furrowed. "Oh," the tone was sad. She looked like a spoiled little girl, which she basically was. "...If you really have to Hermes."

“Thanks Hades, that’s nice to hear… makes me… feel honored?” Hermes said with a slight chuckle and a real smile this time. It was said in a slight question because he wasn’t sure how he was supposed to feel and with all his attention focused on Hades he actually felt good to be welcomed here. Sure, not everybody would take that as a compliment but Hermes did, it was certainly an honor when most of the other Olympians were more or less never allowed to come here. Point for Hermes. About a good hundred for Hades. He was racking all of them up with the little sweet nothings from Persephone and it was making his stomach turn inside out. He blinked when Hades mentioned watching all those tortured souls… and wow, he wondered what reason? Trying to take Hades’ wife. Perfect. That was the best warning he could get if he ever had one and so he stiffly sort of got up.
No more talk about Pirithous otherwise he was going to start imagining that it was him. Well he had waltzed in here trying to take Persephone a long time ago, though that was by Zeus’ command, thank goodness (even though he had really wanted to… honestly, he COULD have become Persephone’s knight in shining armor. But no, damned damned damned pomegranates. He smiled at Hades and nodded, not looking at Persephone the best he could. “I’ll write something new, as soon as I’m finished I’ll play it for the two of you… but I’ll be back soon, I promise.” He really did mean it. He couldn’t stay away from the Underworld very long and well, he liked Hades’ and Persephone’s company… as long as they were not in the same room. He simply smiled at Persephone a cracked and weary smile as he nodded towards her, “Yes… I really think I have to.”
He really did need to leave and he kept himself from giving Persephone his usual kiss on her cheek in a brotherly sort of way because he was sure that Hades would interpret it perfectly. So, he half ran out of there, stumbling, staggering and even fell down once before he made it out of the gates of Asphodel meadows. Thank goodness. Damn it… did he have the best luck or what?
