It was not often Demeter was found in Olympus, especially these days. It wasn't that she prefered Earth- oh, not at all this glory awaited her -but she did enjoy the peace she got from staying there. Afterall, there was nothing better than to wander in the world, helping new growth and watching life spread. It was one of the precious treasures the caring Goddess knew would never be less beautiful or amazing. Everytime she witnessed it, a sparkle would twinkle like the brightest star in her green iris. Her face would hold a kind smile, and her face would brighten like the sun itself did when it rose from the East.
She had left that behind though, for now at least. Instead, she had chosen to come here, to the large, enchanting stables to pass the time doing something else she cherished. What was this hobby of her's you ask? Nothing but watching the noble steeds, gazing adoringly at the wobbly-legged foals, marveling at the muscle and independance of the mare.
The lovely looking Demeter was dressed in a flowing green garment. Emerald jewels were studded around the waist, glittering as rays of lights hit them, able to dazzle any mortal's eyes into temporary blindness. Her hair was down, curling down her back in waves of brunette strands. At the top, she proudly wore a crown of golden leaves, tied together with the beige stems of wheat. Today, her hair had a much darker glow to it, instead of it's usually copper or cherry colored tint. To top this regal look off, she had very chic golden heels, from one of Kolonaki's more expensive stores. She had added her own touch of making an anklets of wheat tying up from the shoes, making it look almost like a see-through boot.
Other than that though, she looked completely natural. But not the way mortals did; ugly with no make-up or cover-up on. No...She looked absolutely gorgeous, and it was no secret that she was a stunner at the moment. Flashing a smile, she breathed in the smells of the memory, before leaning against the door of one of the stables. Peering inside, her eyes quickly adjusted to the rather murky dimness. What she saw was ver much to her liking.
A baby equine, which she thought looked like a filly, was rising up onto unsteady legs. The mother looked down at the infant creature with large eyes filled with affection, but Demeter noticed her attention was also on herself. She could tell by the way her ears kept swiveling her way whenever she made a sound. The foal was soon stiff and tight-muscled, before she bucked with glee at her sucess. Her long limbs kicked the air, peircing it with tiny hooves of 'fury'. The filly snorted, swayed, before completely tottering over onto her side with a thump. The effort seemed to have exhausted her, and she blew out heavy breaths of air for a few moments, resting there. After a few patient minutes, the mare inspected her child, before nudging her up gently. Soon, they were bonded with loving touches and squeals of delight as they played for a moment, before enjoying snacks together.
Demeter watched with interest as the female grazed off of the fresh supply of grass and hay, mixed with nutritious grains (props to herself for providing the best quality of it) and a few chunks of carrots and apples. She smiled as the smaller horse, almost an identical copy of the larger, leaned in to suckle. Yes, this was where the Goddess of Grain and Fertility belonged. Here, in this humble stable, having time to spare to behold these wonders of Mother Earth herself. The silence and tranquility of the place surrounded her, folding her in, letting her feel safe and in harmony with nature. Soon, she was in deep thoughts, feeling happier than she had been in a long time. It was lucky that she could be in a good mood such as this.
Her brain churned, working it's way fast and furious with the memories she had stored. She had made just that; a memory. She smiled with herself, before it turned upside down. Mare and foal, parent and child, mother to daughter. Oh, my darling Persephone. My identical copy, my younger self. She's missing from me yet again this time of year. Demeter's eyes shone with tears of regret, and she shook her head sadly. Why must she be seperated from her? She was her daughter, her family. They should be bonding, not growing apart. Suddenly, rage rose inside her. She wished she could erase time, go back, to save Persephone from Hades' grasp before he had her in his greedy clutches.
How dare Hades do this to her! Her eyes flamed with the fire of her angry emotions, and she felt a storm brewing inside her being. He didn't care about anyone but himself! No one. The Earth suffered when he took Persephone away, and made Demeter carry the burden of seeing it die again and again, along with her light-hearted spirits. He was damaging so many lives, including her own. She couldn't wait until she saw him again. Then...Then...She could hardly think of what she would do next time. In truth, her temper would die down by then, however soon. Demeter was not one to be in these moods for long, she was usually much too busy doing this or that, calming herself down. She shuddered, closing her eyes and breathing. That was it, steady girl...
Fine. It was over with, nothing could be changed. Demeter would have to deal with it some way or another, until she could do something about it when the chance came. Hades was probobly busy, just like her. That meant that eventually she could visit Persephone, even when it wasn't time yet. She smiled and relaxed at this thought, and turned around to walk down the empty halls. She half wished someone would come to ease the sudden loneliness in her heart, but maybe it was best if they didn't disturb her in this hour. She sighed, shoulders shrugging down as her spirits sunk lower. Oh well, she would stay for a while anyway just in case.
She could cause the people famines later. Destroying prosperity could wait for now at least. Lucky mortals.

"Mommy."
The voice was quiet. It didn't belong to Zagreus, Adion, Plutus, Eubolus, Desponia, or Amphitheus. Those six didn't love their mother. They didn't share the same bond. They decided to leave her. They decided to go. They decided not to bond. They decided that they didn't need their mother. They decided that Demeter didn't love that as much which was a little true. She was her favorite. She was her favorite and no one else's.
She remembered being a little girl. Being a child and her mother rearing her. She remembered hours playing with her and touching her act with her tiny hands. How her mother would braid flowers into her hair and send her off to play and be merry. She'd been a cute little girl from what she remembered. Mommy always thought she was adorable.
The tiny goddess looked up at her mother who was taller than her. Almost as tall as her...She tried her best not to speak about it or anything. Try not to think of him. Not to think of him. Her mother would realize that she'd think naughty thoughts about her husband.
Oh, it was so embarrassing! Her mother was a fertility goddess! The tiny girl stood there as she looked up to her father wide eyed as she titled her chin up to look at her mother. Olive eyes stared back and the younger goddess watched her mother. Plump lips parted as she looked up at her mother.
There was a foal and the mare. The young woman looked up at her mother. The tiny goddess was happy to see the other brunette. She stood there perfectly still wide eyed as she tilted her chin up. It was the same. It was all the same. It was always same with the mothers and children. They were always the same. The young woman looked up at her mother before back to the horses as she slowly meandered towards the goddess unsure if she should approach her or not.
She was sure that her mother would think of her as some sort of vision. Some sort of cruel trick or something. Persephone knew that she might think that. Persephone stood still as death itself. Her skin was pale from the lack of sunlight.
Hades was a little less possesive and she could go just about anywhere. The tiny creature walked along to her mother's side looking up at him with a tiny smile. "Mommy..." Her voice was soft and quiet. The younger of the two smiled up at her.

Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy. What was that awful noise, that taunt going through her brain? She gritted her teeth, knuckles turning white as they closed into tight fist. She suddenly looked like she had spent eons away from the sun, hiding in the shadows. She was as pale as a fresh blanket of snow, and her hair suddenly seemed to turn darker in contrast. It was if everything about the Goddess turned hidden and secluded. Only minutes ago she was a steaming kettle of boiling liquid inside, but at the moment, it was as if she was locked in a freezer to cool. But far from the wanted temperature, because even Zeus might fear her in this state of mind. She couldn't wait to torment Earth, to let it freeze like herself...
She suddenly shook, before turning slightly and opening her eyes. There was her darling daughter, her little baby...Her Persephone. But beside her, that wretch. Hades. Her own brother, who had stolen her beloved child...The man who was so much of a coward, he had never once bothered to face her wrath. Demeter was stuck in a frantic faze, feeling as if she was dangling by a thread between dreamworld and reality. Was it a mere hallucination, or was it standing there for her to touch and feel, solid. The Goddess of Grain at the moment looked as cold and untamed as winter itself, and inside she felt as if a full-blast blizzard was blowing. Her mind felt fuzzy with the emotions buzzing in her brain, and her heart seemed to stop to top it all off.
A sound was heard from her. A tortured gasp, as if she was desperately fighting for breath. In, out, in, out...So it wasn't a dream? Here was the royal couple of the Underworld, standing before her, menacing and yet welcoming as well. What should she do? Flee from this chance so as to not get hurt again when Persephone was torn away, or rush forward to embrace the moment and let it soothe her? She gulped, chewed on her lower lip nervously, and took a few hesitant steps forward. Closer and closer she got, until she stopped a few feet away, chin lifted defiantly, head tilted curiously. She reached out with her hands, waiting to see if Persephone would respond to the greeting. Slowly, a uncertain smile broke across her seemingly frozen facial features. She hoped this would be like the old unions, and not bitter. Perhaps Persephone had come to say she had moved on, gotten used to having Hades as her husband, and didn't want to come anymore. She hoped not, or woe to mortal men and Earth.
As if encouragingly, the mare lifted her head high, snorting at the company as if in warning. Not to harm poor Demeter, for she was a friend of horses. The filly bucked with interest, kicking the stable door as if eager to see what happened next. The infant equine let out a squeal as if to say "Get on with it!" Demeter's smile grew ever brighter, but still, deeply anxious. An eyebrow lifted, green eyes shining with tears.
"Come here, child. It's been a while until I last saw my daughter, you know." Her voice was quiet and velvety soft, with a hint of bitterness directed to Hades. Still, her eyes were dancing with a little joy of her joke. She wished more than ever for it to be like old times again.

She wanted so desperately to tell her.
Persephone wanted so desperately to tell her mother that she loved Hades. That yes, his approach had been wrong and that he shouldn't have done such a terrible thing but still! Persephone loved her mother too much though. She wanted to tell her mother that she was grown up and that she needed to let go. Her heart ached. She could never do that to her mother. She could never tell her that. Persephone loved her mother too much. Persephone could never hurt her. Demeter never harmed her. Demeter never raised her voice or hand in anger. Demeter loved her more than anything. She could never take that away from her mother.
She wasn't the same girl she had been eons ago. She wasn't the same little girl. Sure, she kept up habits from her mother. Love for the Earth. Braiding flowers in her hair. That smile remained the same but instead of blindly following around Demeter she blindly followed around her husband. He would never lead her anywhere dangerous or forsake her. Neither would her mother.
"Oh, Mom," she breathed quietly as she was drawn into a hug. Her eyes were half closed and her cheek was up against her mother's breast. "I've only been gone a couple months." There were only a few months left. Then she and Hades couldn't...NO! Don't think about that around your mother. She shouldn't think about those things with her mother near. Despite the fact a couple days go. No! Bad bad nympho. Bad.
It was so hard. She was both of their little flowers. "My little flower" she'd hear from both of them. The young woman's eyes were closed and her long eyelashes caressed pallid cheeks. Once she was with her mother again the color would return to her face. The sun would kiss along her skin again. She hummed against her mother as she held onto her. Dark hair tumbled over her slender shoulders. Her hair was left down and undone.
Persephone was happy to be with her mother. Almost as happy as she was once she returned to her Hades. Finally, she backed down and noticed the new foal. "Hey baby," she chirped as she was drawn to it. Persephone and Hades had no children. Sometimes, she questioned if she was barren. If despite the fact her mother as a fertility goddess she couldn't have children. SHe didn't understand but Hades didn't want any children and her need for them wasn't great despite the fact she loved them.
"You're a beautiful girl," she reached to the mare with a soft hand and stroked a velvet nose. "You're a beautiful Mama," she cooed happily. "What a pretty baby."

Loyalty. Unbreakable bonds. Love.
This was exactly what Demeter thrived for each and every day. She smiled cheerfully, and suddenly her skin resumed it's naturally tan color, and her hair instead of hanging limply and dully, flowed and caught the light, sending ripples of healthy brunette colors through it. Her cheeks glowed, her green optics twinkled in that star-bright way of hers, her beautiful smile showing. Here was Demeter, radiant in all her glory!
Take that Hades. Take that foolish mortal men. Ha! How she laughed in their faces at the moment. She suddenly felt graceful and elegant, lithe and merry, as if a terrible burden was off her shoulders. This was what it felt like for her every time they were reunited happily. She giggled, and turning her back (well, mind really...) completely on her daughter's husband, she ignored his eerie, lingering presence at all. She didn't want him to drape a veil over the moment, like he always seemed to do in her brain. She turned on him inside, glaring as if she expected more privacy, then sniffed silently. How rude, how impolite! He couldn't trust her, his own sister, to take care of his wife, her daughter? She would never harm Persephone, and he knew it. So why was he still in her thoughts, spreading his gloominess into the bright room?
Urgently, she looked at her daughter. Was this only an early visit? How much time did she get with her? No, please, no! She didn't want her to leave, she wanted to stay with her forever. If she didn't care about Earth as much as she did, and wasn't a kind or merciful Goddess, she would stay with Persephone in the Underworld for as long as needed, until they could go see the sun again.
She clutched her daughter's hand tightly, squeezing it dearly. Demeter was feeling a little possessive, and she was sorry, but she was talking about her precious Persephone! She had her well being in her interest, and she was determined she got what was best. Making a 'tsking' sound with her tongue, she shook her head much like a perfectionist would before talking to her daughter and fretting a bit inside.
"Look at how pale you are now! You need more sun, you should come and visit more. H-How...long are you staying?" Her eyes pleaded, and she would have dropped down to her knees to beg if she wasn't the dignified woman she was. In a hurried tone of voice, she laughed nervously and nodded. "Yes, she is a darling mare with that little babe of hers. A filly, and little girl. Just like we used to be, right?" She looked at her again, before gulping and turning away to blush and bite her tongue. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
"Erm...How about we go explore for a bit? We can go make flower chains for our hair, or dance, or do something we used to?" Now she was just sounding sugar-coated sweet, as if it was a fairytale she was spinning, but it was true. After all, they were those kinds of Goddesses. She smiled, tugging on her hand. Then, slowly, she realized she still had Hades in mind, and she had the picture of him smiling that smug grin of his. She resisted moaning to loudly. Finally, with a narrowed gaze of venom, she looked at Persephone.
"That is, if your uncle doesn't mind. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if your mother could spend time with you. After all, he did take you away from me."

She was sure that her mother saw her as a little girl. The young woman clutched tightly onto her as she snuggled not her mother. If anything Hades knew that her mother wouldn't hurt her but she knew that she could take Persephone away. She knew that Demeter could hide her away from her Hades. Some place where neither of them would realize where each other were. It wasn't that her mother was cruel, farm from it. It was just that her mother was her mother.
"Mommy," she smiled. It was the same smile she had for eons. That same happy-go-lucky smile that had always been on her face before. The younger goddess tilted her chin up towards her mother to look up at her. She was a tiny thing only reaching five feet and nothing more.
Persephone was happy to be with her mother. Her dearest mother. She was sure no one could ever love her like her mother could. Hades love was different. But no one loved her like Mother did. "I get visits from Auntie Hera every now and then I learn about what's going on." she honestly didn't care for the other deities most of them anyway. She loved Auntie.
The brunette looked up her with a tiny smile and she chirped, "I'm all right Mama. I'll get the sun soon." She would be back into the sunlight once more. The paleness of her skin would wear away and she could be in the sun again. Persephone chirped. "I'm fine I promise." She was more than fine but she was sure that if her mother knew that..."I-I don't know..." she didnt' know how long she would stay. Not too long because Hades only had so much time with her and clung to her like a little boy to his baby blanket.
Oh, but she couldn't tell her that.
"Just like us Mama," she looked back to the older goddess with a smile. "See? She looks just like her. Beautiful." Slender fingers reached forward and she stroked the filly's soft mane. Twirling it in her fingers. Persephone looked back to her mother and she nodded. Yes. She'd like that. She'd like that a lot.
Hades wouldn't matter. Persephone could do what she liked. The Spring Maiden reached over and she held onto her mother's hand as she clutched onto it tightly and looked back to the mare. "You be good." it was sad that they only lived for such a short time. "They have miniature horses," Persephone brought up. "They stay babies forever practically."
Her mother was like the mare and she was the miniature horse. A baby forever in her mother's eyes. Forever a baby. The young goddess looked up to her mother. "Let's go!" her voice was cheerful and happy. Like a certain someone would expect it to be when leavin the Underworld. Despite the fact that she would want to get back sometime soon.

Images that tortured her still flowed tauntily through her head, and she whined silently in protest. So childish for Demeter, and yet it was so unfair to be testing her mercy. Brutally, she willed them away, hoping her own thoughts would take pity on her. She resisted from smacking her forehead, like the mortals seemed to do when feeling stupid. She didn't blame them, it happened a lot to lesser beings...
Never the matter though! As soon as she was rid of these little teases, she smiled brightly at Persephone, green eyes dancing with light, and her brunette locks rippled and curled with beauty. Her skin was vibrant as if she had been under the sun for eons, the total opposite of her recently pale tone. Her facial features looked flawless, and overall she was a radiant Goddess. Perhaps almost as beautiful as Aphrodite herself, but if Demeter was not modest, she certainly was not vain. She did not foolishly try to compare them, for she did not want to rise any hostility or anger.
One last time, the immortal looked at the horses. They were her favorites at the moment, if she could choose favorites. She pet the mare's silken mane, intertwining her fingers and giving an affectionate tug before letting loose. She kissed her velvety noise and stroked the baby, before calling on some grain to let them both eat. It was the finest quality of grain, and she was sure they would love it. Her specialty indeed!
After feeding them, she looked up at her daughter and nodded, before grabbing her hand and almost skipping away. They had a big day ahead! So many things to do, so little time. Dancing, making flower accessories, tending to new growth and new life. The same thing they had been doing for eons, for many mortal years. The forever youthful woman looked at her daughter, half believing her and half not. She started walking out of the stables, thinking about miniature horses.
"So, where do you suggest we go and what should we do?" She asked. Off to the rolling prairies? To the big cities? Or the wild country? All of these were options that she would be more than willing to choose. It was up to Persephone though.

The Spring Maiden watched her mother with a smile. She couldn't help but smile when she was around her mother. They were like dolphins; always loving, always in contact, and always happy when they were with each other. Her mother made everything live when she was with her mother, she remembered being small and her mother always made sure that everything was green and beautiful for just for her. Her mother made beauty.
Why she wasn't the goddess of beauty as well was beyond her. No one did what her mother did. No one made anything so beautiful. Except for when Hades was on her arm then she was equally as lovely--in her eyes anyway.
"Bye bye baby," she smiled as she stroked along the filly's nose before she backed away and walked along with her mother. What should they do? She loved doing everything with her mother. There were all sorts of fun things they could entertain themselves with. Chewing upon her lower lip the young lady looked up at him and she chirped, "Some place fun." Yes, some place that was fun!
Japan maybe? No, she liked Japan, she wasn't sure if her mother did. Japan was fun and she liked it. The young woman looked up at her mother and she walked out of the stables with her mother.
"Some place," she thought the words slow and rolling off her tongue. "...With horses." Yes, some palce with horses so they could perhaps go around and make flower chains for the creatures. "Some place wild though. Not tame ones." Despite the fact she loved tame horses wild ones were nice.
Yes, that sounded like a good idea.
Horses were her mother's favorite. She knew that. She knew that her mother wouldn't be able to refuse the idea. The young woman smiled as she tilted her chin up and the tiny of the two dragged her mother out of the stables as she brushed back at her feral hair.
Persephone had done nothing with it for the sheer and simple fact that she'd be with her mother and she knew that her mother would probably fix it for her and she would just have to take it out when they were together. Her nose crinkled and she and she leaned up snuggling into her mother. She really was still a child.
The brunette snuggled into her. [/size]

"Great idea!"
Her daughter knew her to well. It was true, she just COULD NOT refuse that brilliant idea. She stroked Persephone's hair, smiling gently, eyes kind and caring. When they were out of the stable, she thought where they should go to look. She hadn't visited the wild herd in Montana for a while...Hmm, that was an idea.
"I know a perfect herd. You really can't get enough of those creatures. It's the only thing I find I like deep down in Poseidon. He's the God of Horses. Otherwise, I despise your uncle." She crinkled her noise, refraining to say uncles. She feared if she did, her little girl might defend Hades. She didn't want to hear it, she would always hate him until he decided to give her Persephone back. Which would never happen.
She smoothed out her dress, fixed up her hair, and gave a winning smile. "Whenever your ready, darling. Let's go!" She grabbed her hand and walked toward the gates of Olympus. As soon as the Goddesses of the Seasons opened them up, they could go do as they please. Bond like they always used to. Have fun again...Demeter was so wistful, it took her breath away. She couldn't wait for the perfect moment. Perhaps Persephone would love it so much, she would will Hades to let her stay forever with her beloved mother.
She sighed. To bad it was only a dream. Something so great like that would never happen, no matter how hard she wished. It seemed as if Persephone had actually started to love that man, not to mention that she had started to like him a while ago. She shook her head sadly, feeling as if her chance had been lost. So quickly too, and it hurt so much realizing this fact. She looked tearfully at her small daughter, before turning away and speaking, trying not to choke on her own words. This was too terrible!
"So, has Hades been treating you well? I hope so, and if he isn't, you tell me and I'll deal with it." She meant ever word, and her voice had turned hard and bitter, but concerned for the petite Goddess beside her. "How have you been? Bored? Lonely? I hope not, you deserve the best treatment. You should come more often, it'd be so very nice! Every time your gone, I feel so empty and meaningless. It's like the only thing I can hope and wait for is you to come. I mean, let's face it, your mother doesn't have much of an eventful life other than the usual duties."
She smiled, laughed slightly, trying to ease the mood. It didn't seem to work for her.

"I know it is," she rubbed her fingernails on her chest before blowing on them with a smile. She had on a simple white dress nothing all that special about it. Persephone didn't particularly like to wear pants. The younger girl looked up at him happily. She nodded. "Well, I wouldn't like him either."
She remembered how some of her other siblings had came to be. Why Zeus or how he got to her mother was a puzzlement to the Spring Maiden when her mother claimed to hate him too. She remembered, her mother disguised herself as a mare and then Poseidon decided that he should take advantage of the situation. It wasn't Mama's fault! Mama had been a horse and she was sure that...Oh forget it.
Why did everyone have to go around having sex with everyone else? Couldn't they just choose one partner? Unfair. Unfair totally unfair! "Oh," Persephone breathed as she watched her. If her mother were to say something of her husband she'd defend him to the bitter end. Which there wasn't coming any time soon for either of them.
Yes, Persephone loved Hades. He was never unfaithful to her. True, they both had their little spells where they were obsessed with someone but they never touched them. Adonis had been much too beautiful for her to just not even realize he was there. And Minthe and Leuce had been beautiful nymphs, until they were turned into plants of course. Teehee. She felt kind of bad for nymphs, they always went about being turned into plants and such.
She was sure that Demeter would have preferred her to fall in love with Adonis or remain a little girl forever. She was sure of it. She was sure because she was Mama's favorite. Mama didn't spend nearly as much time with her other children as she did with herself.
"Yes, Mama," she replied in hopes to ease her concerns. "He always treats me well." Hades still opened doors for her. How sweet. "Oh um...No...I've been fine I have Cerberus, but Hades will have to start to train him again when I come back. I personally want a toy Chihuahua that I can put in sweaters. Auntie Hera says I can't put one on him last time I saw her." She and Hera had grown close. She was sure that she was her favorite illegitimate child from her husband.
"So I'll have to bring one with me when I come back," she teased. "I'll ask then sometime soon but remember, I need to be shared okay." It was some sort of insane custody battle. "Let's go."

Demeter looked at her for a long time, studying her. She could tell she was ready to defend Hades inside, and it felt slightly hurtful. She tried not to show this emotion, and said nothing in reply. Well, at least she was loyal to her husband...Yes, that could count as a point. She apparently loved him, and he apparently loved her. So that was always good! Still, she cared that it effected her. She sighed, shrugging, before turning away into silence.
She needed to be shared? She was a person, not to be treated like some delicate doll! She was supposed to choose what she wanted to do. Perhaps the Goddess wasn't letting her daughter do that though. That would be terrible, figuring she wanted her to have freedom. Although, it had been stolen from her already. By Hades, when he had taken her. Sure, she could still go where she wanted, but she still was chained by duty to come back to him every year. And go back to her. He had done that to her, and he wouldn't release her. She growled, gritting her teeth.
Still, she refused to look much at her daughter, for the occasional few glances to check up on her mood. It felt grim all of a sudden, as they lapsed into this silence. She half wanted to break it, but she somehow liked this way. What was the point anymore anyway? Persephone would just eventually be torn by love, unless one of them let go. And since she was sure Hades was too cowardly and greedy to do so, it seemed up to Demeter to forget about her daughter. She felt like mourning at this sudden loss, and she sniffed sadly. She felt like cursing the God of the Underworld, she wanted to strangle him in her rising rage. Ugh, she hated him so much! She simply despised him.
If he really loved her daughter as much as he seemed to, he would come to realize this. She gulped loudly, tears filling in her eyes. She was glad her face was turned away from the tiny immortal beside her. She wondered what to say in a moment like this. Her voice would be all choked up, and she crinkled her nose in disgust. So much emotion, it made her stomach feel sickening. She thought for many minutes, before they had reached the gate down to the mortal world. She finally spoke her single words, but inside she knew they might hold some meaning. She couldn't ever forget her daughter, she knew, but she did not want to make her suffer in this war. She couldn't ever hurt her. What should she do?
"Let's go."

Persephone was a little afraid that her mother would realize she loved Hades. Hades loved her with all of his heart. Hades loved it. The young woman looked up at him. Persephone loved him back. She loved him with all her heart. The younger of the two glanced up at her.
"Mama?" She loved the both of them. "I meant by..." She chewed upon her lower lip as she twirled her hair with her slender fingers. "I mean that I need to be shared between you two because I know you two don't like you two fighting. I love you Mama, I don't want to upset you." She loved her mother and year after year she'd return to her mother because she loved her.
No one could ever love her like her mother could. A mother's love was special. She never wanted to relinquish that love. She never wanted to put that love in jeopardy. She snuggled into her mother as she held onto her. "Mama," she breathed softly.
"But Hermes said he'd give me first pick from his best flock too," she smiled. She wouldn't mind having a goat or a lamb or something. "Because sheep are cute and they feel so nice their wool then there are goats and they make me smile. They're just funny and I love their eyes." Holding onto her mom's arm as she chewed upon her lower lip.
She led her mother holding onto her wrist as she looked up at her with clear olive eyes. Persephone looked around upon reaching the field she tilted her head as she looked around and she let out a tiny gasp.
