The shouts of child and adult alike could be heard along the boardwalk above as Triton found himself walking along the lone beach strip below it. The polluted night sky would glow as the very few rides and attractions Cony Island had to offer these days began to cease, the brilliant sights and sounds slowly dying.
Triton had spent the past few hours at the aquarium, naturally, taking in their festive non-denominational Holiday lights, seeing what animals they had to offer, watching them frolic and play within their set enclosures and ripping open boxes, set up to look like presents, each one filled with some sort of treat or toy. Though most people present at this Holiday Light festival found entertainment in this, it was how little they progressed in terms of marine biology and the poor attempt at recreating his father's kingdom, that Triton found amusing. The way they still could not explore the oceanic depths without being crushed like a soda can or their search for the true nature of the giant squid and the other mysterious animals of the deep. The god kind of pitying slightly, as he continued to walk.
Zipping up his heavy winter jacket he would eventually come to a stop, rather tired. Walking had been tiring for him, seeing as he still did not totally adapt to moving two appendages at once as opposed to his long muscular tail which he used to navigate through the waters. He perched himself on a lone rock in the center of the beach, his dark hazel eyes, fixed on the tide as it rose and fell, depositing the more unsightly treasures collected by the ocean. His pale figure revealed from the lights above on the board walk as he sat there.
As he sat there he would think back to the past few hours and the memories made by the events that took place. He was waiting there until he felt a little more rested and things on the boardwalk would quiet down, after all he didn't want to end up in some absurd exhibit at the aquarium, just because he was careless in shifting to his aquatic form. He chuckling at the mere notion of it all.
He sat back, knowing well he was sitting alone in one of the more dangerous neighborhoods, but didn't seem to mind too much, he wasn't too familiar with the modern land dwellers customs, but seriously doubted, anything would happen during such a festive time for them.

Across the damp sand a parade of foot prints snaked their way along the beach, trying their best to stay parallel with the lapping waves just a yard or two away. At the end of this winding path was a strange woman whose moon gray eyes gazed sideways at the busy boardwalk not too far off. The celestial eyes, which were currently glaring at a rather portly man who was scarfing down a hotdog while chatting away on a cell phone, belonged to none other then the immortal huntress herself. Artemis had draped herself in a thin, cloth skirt and a matching black wifebeater and escorted her sixty ocean spawned nymphs to the seashore, of course she’d done this in the early morning and in a location much more secluded then this busy New York shore. Unfortunately for the Goddess her darling companions didn’t find a need to stay on the abandoned shore once they were safely camouflaged in the ocean depths.
The agitated woman darted her eyes quickly away from the fat man as he clicked off his phone and continued to shove the remaining frank into his chubby mouth. Now that her stare was back to the dark sea the wicked Goddess put on a small smile as she spotted a slim hand break through the curling water before immediately diving back into the warm water. At least her young comrades had the decency to check in every now and then. Even with how considerate the nymphs were being at the moment once they surfaced the lunar goddess would be giving all sixty of them a good verbal thrashing. They of all people were aware of how much Artemis resented the big cities and their lazy inhabitance. With a heavy sigh the dark haired deity shuffled her bare feet through the smooth sand dunes and with each nonchalant step the tall huntress moved ever closer to some unknown destination.
Another roar drifted over the somewhat quite beach as the cart of what she believed was called a rollercoaster went careening down the artificial hill. Tilting her royal head toward the harsh festive lights of the boardwalk’s amusement park Artemis attempted to see why the mortals enjoyed putting their lives in the hands of steal and gears when they could gain as much spastic pleasure taking up arms and marching to battle or rushing across the wild plains like her people used to in the ancient times. Shaking her head a little to force the thoughts of the past from her stressed mind, the olden days of chariot races and that winged fool Icarus were long and though they were sorely missed by this particular Goddess those golden days wouldn’t be returning any time soon. Now the divine being stood like a shadowy pillar on the chilly beach her gray eyes admiring the gray waters and the ashen sky above it. Hopefully the nymphs would be done with their playing soon. . .

Triton would stare into the ocean depths as the tide would rise and fall with the moons current phase and as the smaller crustaceans would scuttle along the sands, fearing the occasional human presence that would come their way as they sought shelter beneath the rocks and driftwood, that were caught deep within the sand as they would be washed with the sea foam that formed with each crashing wave. Triton carefully picking up one of the small pathetic creatures looking for shelter searching for a place to hide from the tide and possibly a fishermen or two that would naturally harvest them for bait. The small crabs making excellent lures for the black fish that seemed to come and go.
He would hold the creature in his cold briny hands, making it feel safe and protected as he handled the animal. He could still hear the mortals as they walked along the Cony Island boardwalks. Their raucous behavior, really starting to get on his nerves, so with a sigh he would rise to find a more secluded place of rest for him and the small critter he held in hand.
His odd gait would make prints while he walked, his placement of footing and the space between them, seemingly somewhat alien among the prints of the human beings who had made their tracks earlier. He would take an occasional glance into the water and would see breaks in the water every now and then. What he originally assumed were a school of fish fighting the tides, seemed to be something more. Finally in the moonlight he would see what looked like a hand, complete with finger like projections. It would take him a few minutes to register the creatures, though after a while, he saw them for what they were nymphs. Triton personally never favored them as much as he did the icthyocentaurs or the sea monsters he kept close too, due to their more playful and somewhat annoying nature.
He would then put the crustacean down, letting him run to some unseen hiding spot beneath the demi-god's feet as he would gaze into the distance seeing a figure highlighted by the lights above, seemingly overseeing the whole playtime. Triton couldn't help, but wonder who'd take on the responsibility for looking after such creatures as they would play.

Now that the soul nipping air had picked up the lesser beings that had occupied the beach picked up their groaning children and made a mad dash to those tin boxes on wheels trying to get home before their fingers froze. How out of place Artemis, in her sleeveless shirt and that slit cover-up skirt, must have looked to the prying eyes of mortals. The cold wind didn’t affect the Goddess. After all she used to surviving with much less in terrains that were much harsher. “Hurry now. . .” Finally the silence between the moon bound ruler and the ocean was broken and as Artemis cooed to her tiny aids to be a tad swifter the nymphs quickly responded. In a bold move one of the smallest in the pack pushed her pale hand against the water sending a jet of the cool liquid flying toward their mistress.
As the flecks of frigid water landed on her cheek Artemis raised her brow and put on a calm smirk. Truth be told the tall immortal enjoyed when the little water sprites frolicked among the waves but how she wished the devils wouldn’t always drag her down the shores and into some smoggy city filled to the brim with technology obsessed humans. The very thought of the horrible humming the little devices put into the air made Artemis clench her jaw in a fit of rage. As the scattered drops of ocean water began sliding down her glossy skin the wild child relaxed her tightened jaw and moved a hand listlessly to brush off the salty droplets. Flicking her wrist and letting the bit of water go crashing to the sand.
While the Goddess tried, with little effort, to coax her young hunters from their spot the humans were fleeing the amusement park and due to the lack of liveliness a few of the rides had been shut off. The blaring lights of the mortal world that had once held back the creeping darkness were dimming. The nearly empty beach was being engulfed by a twisting black shroud that up until now had lurked patiently for its chance to thrive. One by one, as each ride was powered down the coming night seemed a shade darker and the early stars shinned just a bit brighter. Artemis, now wrapped in the warm blanket of darkness, turned her glimmering eyes away from her joyous nymphs and moved them to the regal sky. If only these dimwitted beings knew they beauty that their vulgar lights were drowning out.

Triton would walk to the best of his ability across the sands as they would be consumed by the darkness and the last calls of the gulls would disappear beyond the rocks. Triton would walk towards the scene taking place within the dark confines of the beach, he approaching the goddess as she would attempt to reclaim the lively sprites that were released into the ocean. He would just give that million drachma smile of his as he watched the little guys play among the waters. "Lively little guys aren't they" he would say as he would approach the waves, letting the green waters wash over his feet, covering them in seaweed, ripped from the ocean floor.
He would assume from her eagerness to collect the nymphs from the ocean that she wasn't exactly comfortable in this city and was probably as much a stranger as he was to it. Triton could tell of her other worldly nature, yet was unsure who she was, after all back in the day, he never got too friendly with the gods due to his duties and time he spent beneath the waves as opposed to the mighty Mount Olympus. Though for the most part, she didn't seem like the type Triton would have to fear, then again sometimes the gods and goddesses were very complex individuals and could be as deceptive as the disguise they put on as they traveled the mortal lands.
He would take another glance at the deity standing before the waves "Are you in need of assistance? for I am sure I could collect them all if you wish" the demi-god would question her curiously. Though Triton hated chasing after such swift creatures, who would probably turn their pursuit into some sort of silly little game, it was in his nature to aid others and to behave in a friendly manner.

The boy approached Artemis from a dark corner of the sandy shore. He seemed to know what she was without hesitation, but that didn’t say much about the young man’s intelligence. Most beasts, mythical and plain alike, were aware of when there was a higher power in their presence. That is unless the beasts were these pigheaded mortals who assumed that they were the higher power. "Are you in need of assistance? For I am sure I could collect them all if you wish.” The feminists pride buried deep in the very core of the Goddess forbade her from accepting the help even if she did want it. “No, best to let them play while they have the chance, they don’t get to spend as much time in the ocean as other nymphs.” Now that she’d handled a response for this apparent water loving man Artemis turned her thoughts to something slightly more important.
Scores of names danced invisibly on the wind as the moon goddess attempted to peg a title to go with the handsome face before her. Since there were too many names from the past the amber haired woman decided that it was useless to go through her entire mind with its stores of useless information in search of one name. Besides she had been out of touch with the Olympians for so long that it was hard to tell if this was simply some unimportant offspring of a hot fling between a devious husband, or if the woman had finally grown some spines, from a goddess herself and some mysterious being. Yet as hopeless as the act seemed Artemis set her moonlike eyes on the male and tugged at the corners of her mind for a name.
He offered to draw back her followers, sea nymphs, one of the swiftest creatures ever created and especially fast when surrounded by their element. This hinted toward one of Zeus’s brothers called Poseidon, or it could mean that he was one of Ares’s prideful sons. Artemis could hardly imagine that ruthless man putting down an axe long enough to enter a bedchamber however she could picture the enraged god using an axe to break into a bedchamber. A sudden idea sparked into the goddess’s mind and glowed as brightly as devilish fire. Why didn’t she just ask this helpful spirit for his name? As if on cue her earthly mood dumped an icy pot of water over the fiery idea and once the embers had died down Artemis returned at once to her sharp senses. If she had asked the c ocky boy his name the distant huntress would more likely then not have absolutely no clue who he really was. So, why ask if the information would just rot in the back of her skull?

"Well alright, tell me when you are tired of staring into the ocean, quite personally, it never tends to bore me" he said somewhat sarcastically as he would watch them play among themselves in the ocean. He was somewhat relieved though that he did not have to chase the annoying sprites. Now it was true Triton wasn't exactly a social butterfly up here and did not know whether to interpret the decline as a 'go away or else you'll be floating belly up' type of thing or a mere decline spawned by pride some of the immortals tended to show as not to make themselves seem weak. This was something he knew to be true with many of those on Mount Olympus, the accounts of the arrogant and prideful recorded by mortals so long ago, supposedly documented what had truly taken place it seemed things of that nature happened often, gods like Zeus and his father always strutting about too prideful to admit their short comings .
He would sit on a near by rock, giving his leg muscles a rest. As he sat there he too couldn't help but wonder who was the beautiful goddess before him. He had little clues to help him out and a rather short list of known names to choose from. However he did have one thing in his favor, the nymphs of the water, which meant she had to be associated with nature some how.
He would put aside his guessing for the current moment as he would sit down. "Well I can see why you'd keep them out longer, the gods forbid if a mortal saw one of these little guys in the daylight, with them supposedly knowing everything, it would be quite chaotic and might even actually make them wonder if there is anything beyond this little reality the've created around themselves" he said jokingly.

Artemis watched the muscular youngling with the wicked gaze of a predator who was sizing up it’s prey as he took a seat on a crude rock. Listening to him talk about how unfortunate it would be for one of her darling cronies to be spotted by one of these ignorant humans that crawled along the city actually amused the goddess. A slow, soft chuckle rose from her throat and into the shivering air, the blurred noise echoed in her mind. Whoever this child was he was on this wrathful goddess’s good side, for now anyway. “Yes, it would be a complete disaster, if the mortal who saw them would live long enough to tell that is.” She had heard of several occasions when humans caught more then a glimpse of something supernatural and they had to be dealt with. Sadly not all creatures could be like that damned giant squid and just hide at the bottom of the crushing sea to avoid mortal eyes.
Just as the image of the gigantic squid floated out of the deity’s mind her attention was caught by a bobbing patch of sea foam. Only, this wasn’t sea foam, it was the head of one of the curious nymphs who had popped up to the surface of the water for a better view. For a second or two the girl looked to her mistress and then her aquatic green gaze traveled to the young boy with a knowing shine in her small eyes. Once the mystical girl had surveyed the male her head swerved to the left and right to scan the empty beach and the slightly busy boardwalk nearby. After what seemed like a forever of watching the nymph ducked her head under the rolling waves once more taking her lightly colored hair back down to the dark depths. Artemis watched the lucid movements of her young ward a small spark of surprise in her usually calm features. She had never known Aella, the waxen haired nymph who had just stared down the land, to be so daring.
What happened next surprised the normally calm Artemis to the point where her silvery eyes widened. Aella who had been known among the pack for her everlasting shyness sprung from the familiar ocean bringing up a fresh spray of chilly water as she did so. Swift feet carried the oddly dressed young girl up the shore and toward the towering form of her protector. Artemis watched the nymph, barely nine years old, as she slammed into her leg barely causing the strong goddess to waver. In a muffled voice tinted with concern Aella spoke. “Lady Artemis, why do you speak with the son of the sea?” Looking down at the confused eyes of the child Artemis smoothed out the worried girl's damp hair proving to her that all was well and with the gesture the nymph reluctantly released Artemis's leg and headed back to the lovely sea, not before giving the young man a bold stare of course.

Triton would chuckle at the remark as he sat back continuing to watch the nymphs at play and the occasional crab scuttle from the waters to escape them. At a distance the little sprites were actually almost cute in their own way, not like some of them who liked to cause trouble every now and then. He seemingly looked at the creatures with a look of hope, it was true since the demi-god's big return he has not spent much time in the ocean, quite fascinated about how much has changed in the mortal world, which made him long for the simpler times. In this time spent exploring the surface and establishing a mortal alter-ego as some of the gods have, he had little time to find they hydras and leviathans that swam below, assuming they were extinct, he figured there were very few sea monsters left. Then again Triton forgot if it is one thing the ocean is good at, is hiding secrets and treasures that are beyond mortal reach.
He would watch the nymph rise and talk to it's guardian, hearing the name Artemis, this would work to his advantage, it kind of removed the need for an awkward introduction. "You may call me Prince Triton, or Triton if you wish little one" he called out as the creature would give him the stare. Now since that was resolved he'd begin to wonder who was Artemis. Now he knew the name, but couldn't quite place who she was. A few minutes of silence would jog his memory, she was the wilderness goddess who fell in love with that hunter Orion, who now had his own place in the cosmos because of her.
He would sit there thinking a little longer, before breaking the silence once more."Live long enough? If they would live at all after taking a glance, quite frankly I'd think they'd drop dead, if they even considered that there were things beyond their current knowledge" he'd joke again. He would look out at the elemental as it returned to the water "So the sprites, they must like you as their protector"He'd say to her, while he sat there on the rock

With the new jest Artemis kept her sly smile and for once it didn’t fade to the cool expression she normally wore. Once the last signs of the tiny maiden had vanished the harsh goddess decided the time for standing at a distance had passed. Barely disturbing the sand as she took light steps toward this Triton and his rock Artemis listened as he spoke of how her Oceanids thought of her as a protector. While she took a seat on a rock close to his, but a great deal smoother then the one the fishman himself was seated on, Artemis wondered for the first time what exactly the nymphs thought of her. Was she a mother, a guardian, or simply a hunt obsessed master? As her mind was focused on this new puzzle the celestial being focused her swirling eyes on the few stars that were bright enough to break through the thick layer of slate colored clouds that shrouded the sky.
“You are Poseidon’s child.” The words which pointed out such an obvious fact came out with very little thought attached to them. She must have gotten so tired of the silence that something had to be said, and with her head fixed on what she say as more important matters her mouth blurted out the first words that it could grab a hold of. Her own voice snapped the idol from the daze she had entered and once the world had regained it’s harsh, crisp corners Artemis turned her head to face the demi-god. His hair was a golden color, much richer then the pale shades her nymphs wore. The earthly eyes he had beemed with self-importance which nearly made the proud huntress snicker. How in all the heavens did this minor deity manage to keep his pride in tact with all the blackhearted gods and goddesses roaming the lands in hope that they’ll be able to ruin a couple souls before a quick nap.
“Why aren’t you with your father?” As far as she could recall Triton was a messenger of the seas meaning that he was used to the quick currents and dark depths, so what exactly was he doing up on a land? More importantly what was he doing surrounded by these pesky humans? Perhaps he enjoys the company of these clay forged beings. The very idea that one born from the elements could actually adore the swarming masses of humans that were slowly choking the nature from land and ocean alike brought a cold shiver of agitation to the goddess’s alabaster skin. Artemis's mind was set, if this young god hoped to stay on her good side he had better answer carefully.

He would inspect her closely how she walked when she came to perch on the other near by rock, her manner of gait, so quiet and graceful it was truly something to admire, it was so other worldly and it appeared that she was walking on the very currents of the air itself, as opposed to his awkward tumbles, he called walking, the whole extra appendages and no tail to guide him still proving to be quite a thorn in his side. He assumed she would need to walk in such a manner, after all she was a huntress and that made it easier to sneak up on prey.
He would turn in her direction as to hear her words over the wind which did pick up a bit. He would hear her bring up his father, who kind of had a bad rap for having many children, lovers and sometimes getting a little touchy, just like his brother, the mighty Zeus. Triton hated to talk of his father, after all he never was that close and to him he was only the third son, his brother Armanius was the favored, and was someone who Triton barely knew. He always resented his father for that, but no matter how angered he got, he always did his best to repress his feelings against his father, trying not to blame him. After a long moment of silence he'd finally speak"Yes I am one of his children"
He would hear her question"I have not seen my father in a while. I assume he is out there catching up with Zeus and if I wish to keep the more popular parts of my anatomy in tact, I best not disturb them if they are drinking. "He said jokingly, though still knowing the higher up gods did tend to have a temper and which seemed to be exacerbated with the consumption of nectar, wine and other alcoholic drinks."Besides my father and I do not speak much and it has been centuries since someone needed a message delivered to him."he admitted.

"I have not seen my father in a while. I assume he is out there catching up with Zeus and if I wish to keep the more popular parts of my anatomy in tact, I best not disturb them if they are drinking. Besides my father and I do not speak much and it has been centuries since someone needed a message delivered to him." As the sudden gust of cool air swept back the dark strands of the goddess’s hair Artemis nodded. She could understand the distance this Triton had with his father, she knew all too well how a child could drift away from their parents especially when they were fathered by easily angered, arrogant, self-serving pricks who pick and choose between the kids. The last conversation Artemis had had with her father where she actually had the almighty man’s attention was when the goddess sat upon his knee as a three year old girl and requested her sixty nymphs and silvery bow. “At least you don’t have Hera to deal with.” The name of the spiteful wench rolled of Artemis’s tongue like a knife.
The very mention of Zeus’s wife had rekindled a rage as old as time itself. Hera, whether drunk or sober, had hated Artemis along with her shining brother Apollo. In a sad attempt to get her mind away from the powerful hatred the bold Artemis switched the topic to something a little inappropriate for one so virginal. “So, what are the more popular parts of your anatomy?” An underhanded tint to her voice the woman’s eye glowed with a devilish brilliance that very few had seen creep on to her normally peaceful gaze. The goal she had in mind was to make this young god blush, not only would it destroy this uncomfortable air around them but it would also give her a reason to chuckle at the small sign of emotional weakness.
Waiting for the boy’s response Artemis had nearly missed the scattered moon beams that shone gently onto the sand. Of course, being part of the moon herself in an odd way, she couldn’t ignore it for long. A crescent was hanging high above the powerful pair’s heads, the scythe like beams cutting through the dismal clouds of gray which up until now had ruled the skies. The sliver of moon glowed with an unmistakable power making the land below bask in its silvery beauty. If there was one thing she loved the most about the heavenly body hung high in the heavens it was the odd way that the moon seemed to have a hold over the entire earth once it reared it’s lovely head.

Triton could relate for the most part, except for his mother, he at least had her to love and care for, escorting her to the market place, keeping her company on occasion in his father's absence. She offering all of the love his father denied him. He still never figuring out why he was only a messenger boy to his father and not his beloved son. He would then hear one of the few goddesses he knew personally. "That's where you are mistaken, I have met Hera" he admitted. "She took advantage of my humble nature and had me combat Hercules, way back when, it was evident she had no liking for the man" he said to the moon goddess with a chuckle."Thanks to her and Hercules, I had such aches in my body, that was beyond imagining"He would then turn to her with somewhat caring hazel eyes" I could only imagine what you had to endure"Triton would say finishing up the topic, as not to anger her
"The more popular parts?" he would stupidly repeat the question, assuming she would know, even though he knew of her pledge of virginity and what not, which he had always found strange. After all it usually was typical of a god or goddess to indulge themselves in more affectionate acts. Triton naturally never did such acts, though the rumors were spread on occasion due to his more reclusive lifestyle. "Well from the statues and paintings, I am sure you know them in my land dwelling form"He'd say with a forced somewhat uncomfortable chuckle. "However as beneath the waves seeing as I have a more aquatic shape and the lower half of a dolphin and on occasion a serpent or a fish, they tend to vary"
He would then gaze out at the sea again the moon casting it's bright glow onto the waters. Triton had always preferred moonlight as apposed to Apollo's charriot which seemed to strut it's way proudly across the sky, bragging to the world of his and the sun's incredible power. The moon had always had a power over him, probably in the sense that he was connected to the tides somehow. Though he always found it's glow from beneath the surface amazing, nearly rivaling the beautiful glow of his friends the angler fish or the Jewel Squid. He wondered though what it would be like to be placed in charge of the land dwelling game or the lunar calendar itself, having such a big responsibility which had major effects on a majority of the life on this planet, as he would look to the shattering reflection of the moon's light on the briny green waters of Cony Island.

As the blond haired demi-god spoke about his battle with Hercules and how his poor muscles had taken a beating from the unusually strong mortal Artemis simply stared. Though Hercules was powerful she had nearly sent the poor soul to Hades during his trials which she assumed is when the mortal had clashed with Triton. As far as she knew humans in the old days did not run about putting their makers in headlocks for no reason but then again Hercules wasn’t like most mortals. All these thoughts of the famous man had nearly taken Artemis’s mind away from the real subject. Hera. The bore of a goddess had always twisted others for her use, or even for her amusement and these actions only added to the loathing the lunar being had for her. "I could only imagine what you had to endure." The simple words knocked the almighty goddess into a whirlwind of confusion and the winds that rushed through her thoughts only gained strength and speed as she turned to face the boy. His eyes were tinted with something unfamiliar to her.
Dismissing the interesting glaze to Triton’s bronze eyes as an effect from the moon’s luminous rays Artemis returned her eyes to the sky. The topic switched quickly from the aggravating wench to more private matters. The crooked smirk returned to her lips as Artemis listened to the son of the sea repeat her question as if she’d just asked him some unsolvable riddle. What surprised the dark haired woman nearly as much as that unusually hint his eyes held seconds ago was the fact that Triton actually went on to answer the goddess’s rather rude inquire. “Well Triton,” This was the first time the name of the man before had passed over her lips, it felt kind of odd she had not used it before. “I’m not so sure about you but I normally do not go around eyeing statues.” The voice of the huntress was dripping with amusement in its purest form. With the wickedness floating around her Artemis gracefully pushed her bare feet into a mound of sand surrounding the wind nipped skin with the warm, coarse grains and though she spoke to the demi-god her eyes were still focused on the night sky. The ghostly light from the bowed moon glimmered off the gray eyes of the goddess showing that the crescent was more then happy to return the cold stare it was given.
Excluding Apollo, Selene, and sometimes Pan Artemis had little contact with other immortals and for the most part she preferred it that way. She saw no use in entering the busy world of the gods and attempt to keep up with who is feuding with who or which of the deities had yet again slept with a mortal and got her pregnant. Her brother and the other rulers she interacted with were easily dealt with, and certainly the nymphs that surrounded her were no trouble at all. Yet this Triton had caught the secluded goddess’s interest. While the waves lapped quietly at the moon washed beach, and the nymphs played a sluggish game of tag, Artemis was nearly almost happy she had come to this overly populated land.

He'd just chuckle as his youthful face would begin to turn a slight shade of red. "You really need to go to a museum or something" he'd tell her. "Now I think you're just trying to anger me and put me on the spot" he said, his face only becoming redder as he laughed, leaning back a bit, doing his best to keep his balence, however the sea bound demi-god seemingly trying to fight the pull of gravity as he tried to stretch out a bit.
He knew very well the answer she was looking for, though he knew her before this little encounter on the fact she was a virgin alone and didn't know what to expect from her if he was to tell her what she wanted to hear. Though over all he could see he was gaining her trust and thought that she liked him to some extent. Triton was not the most popular of the immortals, after all he was a demi-god, has never really set foot on Olympus aside from carrying messages and not the most social guy when it comes to the land dwellers, which is probably why most of their known writings on him were speculation and fabrication.
He stared at the goddess' beauty as it was brought out at the silvery moon. The demi-god was beginning to think as he continued the talk that future socialization would not kill him, for some of the gods and goddesses were nice to talk to and made excellent company.
